A eucalyptus table lamp with a very uncommon mahogany tone: dark and slightly reddish. It is an exceptionally rare wood, and it works well as a bedside light.
The lamp holder and stem are copper-coloured, and we think the contrast with the mahogany wood is perfect. The cable is jute textile.
The wood and its origin
This wood comes from a fallen tree that we found in a forest. What caught our attention was its mahogany tone, which is very uncommon in eucalyptus.
Crafted by hand
This lamp cured for almost a year. We sealed some of its cracks with contrasting wood. The colour of the base wood is natural, and the Danish oil enhanced it even further, to that dark, slightly reddish tone.
Because the wood is so exclusive, we gave it an ultra-smooth finish while always keeping its natural look.
